SRI SANKARA CLINIC
The Beginning:
Sri Sankara Clinic was born on 9 May 2014, on the auspicious occasion of the Sadasiva Brahmendral Aradhanai Function at Nerur Agraharam.
It had the blessings of Poojyasri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peedam during his visit to Nerur in early May. When the name of the trust ‘ nivrithi’ was told to swamigal, he immediately said ‘ thrupthi’ (meaning satisified.)
It was Sri. PR Mahadevan, who introduced us to Sri. Andali V Raghunath, Retd. Prof in Biochemistry, a native of Nerur, who was camping at Nerur for the Aradhana Festival, who in turn was gracious enough to allow the trust to utilise his newly constructed cottage for the purpose of the Clinic.
The name ‘Sri Sankara ’was suggested by Sri. Raghunath.
The Clinic was inaugurated by Dr. J. Madhava Rao, the senior most and reputed physician of Karur, popularly called Vangal Doctor, in the presence of Dr. Mohan, Sri. Raghunath, Sri. Mahadevan, Sri. Balaji and Sri. Ramakrishnan of vallalar trust.
